1Can we leave it on the face overnight?
Yes, you can use it as a face mask and leave it overnight. A client told us that her skin complexion has improved significantly by doing this for a month. She can now step outside of the house without make up on!
2Can it cause any irritation?
In general, rice powder is considered hypoallergenic which means it is low in the scale of toxicity and irritation. Being organic, the chances of it irritating your skin is even lower. However, if you have sensitive skin and are unsure, we recommend you do a skin test before using it more extensively.
3What does it smell like?
Each batch of our Jasmine Rice Powder is made fresh from newly harvested organic Jasmine Rice at our farm. As a result, you can smell the strong Jasmine rice scent the moment you open our Jasmine Rice pouch.
4Does your Jasmine Rice Powder contain PITERA?
PITERA is a natural byproduct derived from fermented rice. It helps boost cell regeneration and hence it is considered an anti-ageing substance. While our raw organic Jasmine Rice Powder does not contain PITERA per se, you can create PITERA by fermenting our Jasmine Rice Powder in water overnight. If you live in the tropics where the weather is quite hot, we recommend keeping your fermented rice water in the fridge so it does not turn bad. In cooler climates, you can leave it at room temperature and use it in the morning after.
5Can I make rice water for hair wash using your rice powder?
Absolutely! You can simply mix the 1 teaspoon of rice powder in 1/2 to 1 cup of water. Apply directly on your face or use it as a hair rinse.
