How It’s Made: Fresh Chrysanthemum Tea

If you are from South East Asia or East Asia, you have probably heard of this drink called Chyrsanthemum tea. It’s a floral tea that works almost similar to Chamomile. It helps with relaxation and calming, and it’s normally available at restaurants or food stalls.
We first planted Chrysanthemum flowers in the late summer of last year in our veggie garden. it’s not so hard to grow as long as it gets enough water and is not out in the open sunlight. When we first planted it, we didn’t think much of it like how to use or what are we going to turn it into. Within a few months, the flowers start to bud up and since then, they never seem to stop showing up. So, we feel it’s time to try to use these flowers by turning them into floral tea!
The fresh chrysanthemum flowers yield a stronger floral scent than the normal chrysanthemum tea found in normal restaurants. Meanwhile, we can adjust the amount of sweetness that we want in it. And a lot of the time, we basically don’t put in the sugar at all, so the aromatic smell can be felt more distinctively.
