How it’s made: Plum Mango Soda Drink
Every year during the end of summer and the beginning of summer, lots of fruits are turning full ripe.
It’s as if they know that soon, the rain will come, and they need to reproduce preparing for the next generation to come. Mangos, Monkey apples and so many more. So it’s on us to try to preserve them as much as possible in as many ways we can. One thing we often make is fruit juice.
By turning our sour plum mango into juice, we get to enjoy it all year round. And instead of just having a pure juice drink, we decide to make a soda drink out of it. The process is simple and does not require anything but our full ripe plum mangos, sugar, and water.
It starts with picking the fruits. Then, we clean them and boil them. Once the fruits become soft enough, we squeeze them and remove the seeds. After that, we reboil again and add sugar. Let it sit at room temperature and bottle it up for future use.
The process is simple and can be applied to many other fruits as well, like mangos, lychee, or even pineapple. Hope you get some ideas of how it’s done, and maybe you are inspired to make one yourself too.
